Indicative package budgets, not a fixed quotation. Equipment allowances cover the devices listed, standard brackets and small installation materials; exact eero and Echo models and supply prices are agreed after consultation. Gate mounting, weather exposure and Wi-Fi reach are checked before booking. Three indoor eero nodes do not guarantee garden or gate coverage; extra nodes, outdoor-rated network equipment or data cabling may be needed and are quoted separately. Indoor cameras require suitable existing sockets. New mains circuits, gate automation, access-control release, substantial cable runs, specialist access and subscriptions are excluded. Wired or solar upgrades are available by separate quote. Allow a full installation day or more, with timing confirmed after assessment. Consultation is included in the package, rather than added again.

Accounts stay in your name; passwords are entered by you. Bespoke multi-room systems and additional accessories are quoted separately.

Can my Ring camera work with an Echo Show or Echo speaker?
Compatible Echo Show devices can display Ring live video, and supported Echo speakers can announce doorbell presses. We can help link Ring and Alexa with your permission, select announcement devices and test the available features. Echo Hub and compatible smart plugs or bulbs can also be considered as part of your smart-home setup. Features vary by model and may require additional services or subscriptions.
Can you improve Wi-Fi coverage as well?
Yes. We can fit and configure a small two- or three-node eero mesh kit, position the nodes, check coverage and reconnect up to five devices. You can supply the kit or ask us to source it. We check the broadband equipment and intended layout first, including whether bridge mode or other configuration is appropriate. Your eero account stays in your name; speeds and coverage depend on the property and internet connection.
Can you supply the Ring devices as well?
Yes. We can recommend models, source devices through Amazon or another suitable retailer and install them. You approve a quote showing equipment, labour and extras separately before we order. Hardware prices depend on model and availability. For devices we supply, contact us about faults or warranty queries.
Can you install the full Ring camera range?
We offer installation planning and fitting for Ring battery, solar, plug-in and wired cameras, including Spotlight and Floodlight models, as well as wired doorbells. Suitability is checked against the exact model, available power, Wi-Fi and access. Specialist cabling or power arrangements are assessed individually before we confirm a job.
What happens during a home consultation?
We visit for up to 60 minutes to discuss what you want to see, suggest camera positions, check Wi-Fi coverage and review power and privacy considerations. You receive a recommended setup and shopping list. Equipment and installation are quoted separately, and the visit does not include a certified electrical inspection.
Can you install a device I bought from Amazon?
Yes. We install customer-supplied Ring devices, including battery, solar, plug-in and wired models. Fixed prices cover the battery packages shown; wired devices and full systems receive a tailored quote after checking the model, power supply and mounting location.
Are you part of Ring or Amazon?
Frontdoor is an independent installation service concept. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ring or Amazon.
Do I need a subscription?
Subscription requirements depend on the features you want. Check the current Ring plans for recordings and other paid features. Hardware and subscriptions are separate from installation.
What if my Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the camera?
Signal strength should be checked at the proposed location. A different position or improved Wi-Fi coverage may be needed. Our eero mesh service can assess and improve coverage around your home; the mesh kit and setup are charged separately from camera installation.
Who controls the account and camera recordings?
You do. Use your own email address and enter your passwords yourself. Camera positioning and privacy zones should minimise recording beyond your property.
